Transport
Arriving by air. Kotoka International Airport (KIA) is located in Accra, the capital of Ghana, and it is a hub destination for many African and international airlines. The airport has recently been modernized, and moving through Customs and Immigration processes happens speedily. Your case manager at Sweden Ghana Medical Centre will tell you all you need to know about visas and best travel times for starting treatment. ECOWAS clients do not need visas. Once your air travel arrangements are made, simply inform your case manager and they will arrange for a pickup and drop-off at the airport.
Travelling by vehicle. Our modern cancer centre is located at East Legon Hills, surrounded by a colourful garden in a serene hilltop environment that overlooks Accra. The most direct access route to Sweden Ghana Medical Centre is through East Legon, traveling via Adjiringanor Road and following the signs on the paved route to our location. We are approximately 15km from Kotoka International Airport. There is ample parking available at the centre.
Pick-up and drop-off from hotels. All our patients who are staying for an extended treatment duration in the East Legon vicinity can make use of our pick-up and drop-off service when coming for treatment sessions. Sweden Ghana Medical Centre has two vehicles dedicated to transporting our patients for treatment. Your case manager will assist you with any transport requests that you may have.
